First Brick of this Years Training

Saturday morning, early, Bryan and I, along with our other buddy Javin met at the Depot for our first Brick workout of the year. All told I'd say it went well for everyone. My main goal of this workout was to run the full half hour after the bike and I was able to accomplish it.

 I asked the question why is it called a "Brick" work out. Below are some of the best responses I found.

  • Because you stack one workout on top of another, like bricks in the wall.
  • The two workouts in tandem “build on” one another to combine for something “more solid
  • guy by the name of Matt Brick started doing them years ago and they were names after him
  • Because that is how your legs feel after you do a really hard one.
  • BRICK
    B – Bike
    R – Run
    ICK – ICK is how the legs feel until You get used to it!
