10mi Run-Bryan

Got 10mi in this morning. Ran on the Luce Line Trail. Nice trail consisting of crushed lime stone. I didn't pay much attention to heart rate on this run, just went by feel. Ended up with an average of 188, which is Zone4 for me, but felt more like Zone3 (till the turn around & I was fighting the wind/incline). Running out West and back East is a little changeling, as the grand goes on an incline on the way back and I was fighting the wind (when I was already tired). At approx mile 6, I wanted to stop and walk so bad. But, I figured the mental training is just as important (heard a pro triathlete once say it's 70% mental, 30% physical), so I forced myself to keep running. I slowed my pace, but kept running. Bye about mile 8 my body must have just decided we are doing this (miles 6 & 7 were hell though), as I felt pretty good running again and finished pretty strong. I didn't bring any nutrition, which was a mistake, so next time will have to remember some gels. Good time to experiment with different ones.
